Approved by Pope Pius IX in 1851, this powerful chaplet takes the form of nine salutations, one for each of the heavenly Choirs of angels, each followed by one Our Father and three Hail Marys.
St. Michael is the great leader of the angels in the war against Satan and his followers. His name, meaning “Who is like to God?”, served as the war-cry of the good angels as they plunged into battle to “fight the dragon”.
His feast day is celebrated on the 29th of September.
